It was somewhere in the end September 2006, and it was an hard period of my life. Not the first one nor the last.
A bad split which crushed my dream in a blink of an eye. Some financial problems not foreseen. A physical bad shape thanks all the antibiotics I had to take. And, last but not least, a stuck university career.
And this is how far I’m willing to tell. Other things will remain untold, mine and mine alone.
I was totally in rage, full of hatred. I quite soon realized I had to channel all of this dark energy in something useful for me. And then it came a blind determination. “Fix what is under your control and do not give a shit to the rest of things you cannot control”.
I less than a year I lost something like 40kg , I graduated and finally found a full-time job.
All’s well that ends well ? No not really, but that’s another story for another time.
The blog was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.
“I’ve seen your world, and I’ve got the shirt” was born in this context. Hatred and determination. I was not happy but neither sad. I just was.
At the time I did not like blogosphere nor the raising social networks, but I thought: “Ok, it’s not my world, I do not like it , but I have to live there, so let’s pretend to be a tourist, and a bad one indeed”.
The title was taken from the Bruce Dickinson’s song “Devil on a Hog”, still one of my favourite song written by Bruce Bruce.
You won’t see my face no more
My machine has left the floor
Leave my rivals in the dirt
I’ve seen your world and I got the shirt
I wasn’t totally right … she has seen my face again, many years later, when hatred had no more place in my life. But again, that’s a story for another time and maybe another place.
Well , as for now, is the most long-lived incarnation. More or less 250 posts, and it also entered in the top 100 of the “Leonardo” blogging platform. It started being part of my life, I’ve met a lot of people in that blogosphere.
Also the one that finally lead me outside my “confort zone”, outside my “well-known place”. The one that tearing me apart again, made possibile to find the “inner me”.
Another story for the ones willing to follow me in this fifth incarnation …
